    Hi Liane,

I am trying to download the audio files of interviews into my ipod, so I can listen to them (instead to music as always) when I am away from the computer. But do not know how. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

    Robin

I listen to Dr. Strem and his talk gave me the realities on going into a technical business. ACS should produce or sponsor more talks or simucast workshops on the realities of opening your own business ventures.

    Hi Ron,

ACS Industry Programs division is developing a webinar on how to start your own business. I am not sure of all the logistics and have provided that department with your request. When developed, ACS Careers will be annoucing this opportunity.

  14. Anita Cummings Says:

How is ACS involved with the ‘green jobs’ efforts and the stimulus funding as it relates to sustainable jobs through the Wastewater and drinking infrastructures. I realize the WWTP operators have to be certified through state trainings, but want to know if these trainings are being offered through any academic settings (e.g., community colleges) ? And what criteria is needed to sit for these certifications ?

    • lhgould Says:

Deciphered as follows; Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP), operators are trained through various acedemic venues such as two year and four year colleges, state and local water municipalities [usually as an employee]. The American Water Works Association is the leader in training all water and waste water operators from class 1 through 5.

Anyone can study and prepare for these tests on their own, the material covers chemistry, physics, complex math problems.
